exacqVision certified for latest versions of Lenel OnGuard
We are pleased to announce that we have received Lenel factory certification for the integration of exacqVision VMS with the latest versions of the Lenel OnGuard access control system. Exacq is a member of Lenel’s OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP).
The exacqVision product line was certified by Lenel for integration with the latest OnGuard version 6.4.500, as well as with the earlier version 6.3.249. This is in addition to previous certifications we had for older versions of OnGuard.
This integration provides an easy-to-use and versatile access control/video surveillance combination. The exacqVision server software can reside either on the existing Lenel OnGuard servers or on stand-alone exacqVision servers. The exacqVision plug-in is available from the Exacq downloads page. Once installed, OnGuard is able to connect to all exacqVision servers and cameras on the network. exacqVision video sources are treated like any other video source within the OnGuard platform, enabling full functionality for mapping, alarm monitoring, and alarm assessment.
The full functionality of the exacqVision server and client software is also available. In addition to adding video sources within OnGuard, full use is available of the exacqVision software, with as many users connected via the exacqVision client and mobile device clients as desired. The two systems can run simultaneously and you get the full benefits of both platforms.
The latest exacqVision-Lenel plug-in is available here. An exacqVision server with Enterprise option is required.

ICT Protégé and exacqVision integration at the Telus Centre
Security Central, our manufacturer’s Rep firm in Canada, has just put up a blog post installation story about the new Telus Centre for Performance and Learning, the recently-opened state-of-the-art addition to the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Omni Security, a Toronto-based integrator, is busy installing the ICT Protégé access control system and the exacqVision IP video surveillance management system in this new facility.
The Protégé system will manage over 100 doors of access control complete with full integration into the exacqVision VMS system. More than eighty IP cameras will be managed by exacqVision including twenty Arecont Vision 2-Megapixel H.264 cameras. To manage the access control database and the video files, Omni Security is deploying several high-end servers utilizing RAID6 technology for redundancy.
Future plans include integration of Protégé and exacqVision to the facility’s hotelling system for automating access control for guests to the many classrooms.
Our congratulations to the crew at Omni Security for this great high-profile integration installation. More pictures and information are on the Security Canada blog here. More information on the ICT Protégé access control system is here.
