Exacq makes 2010 Inc. 500 list at #173

Exacq on the 2010 Inc. 500 listInc. Magazine just released their 2010 Inc. 500 list today. The Inc. 500 is an annual listing of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

Exacq Technologies came in at #173, reflecting a 1642% growth rate over four years, from 2006-2009. We’re of course pleased to have made the list, and we certainly appreciate our reseller partners and customers who have made this possible by their enthusiastic adoption our product line since it was introduced in 2006.

The Inc. 500 website breaks this year’s list down by categories. We’re in the Security category. The vast majority of the companies in that category are in IT or identity security. Exacq is the highest-ranked physical security company on the entire list, with only two others in the top 500  involved in physical security.

To qualify for the Inc. 500 list, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by June 30, 2006, they had to be based in the United States, privately held, for profit, and independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2009, with a minimum required revenue for 2006 of $80,000 and a minimum for 2009 of $2 million.

We issued a press release today on our Inc. 500 listing.

As a point of historical reference, the last time we applied for the Inc. 500 list was ten years ago, when we owned Integral Technologies, where we made the list at #237.

Thanks again to all of the employees at Exacq, to our sales channel, and especially to our customers. This is quite an honor.

exacqVision case study: NC Dept of Corrections

There’s a new case study on the exacq website for the North Carolina Department of Correction.

exacqVision Hybrid Video Management Systems (VMS) were installed in North Carolina Department of Correction to maximize the safety of staff and inmates.

Sixty (60) exacqVision Hybrid Systems, connected to 1,600+ analog cameras and 300+ IP cameras, were installed to replace aging DVR’s in prisons throughout of North Carolina.

Each prison has the exacqVision hybrid servers and client software installed on the control room’s PC that have access to only those cameras located in their building. When an incident is reported staff will search digital video recorded to investigate and support their findings. Video can be easily exported to a DVD or USB flash drive and can be shown to police as evidence. Video evidence helps NC DOC reduce repeat offences.

Exacq partner Enterprise Security Systems, Inc., a Charlotte, NC based full service technical solutions supplier of video surveillance technology, provided the 60 exacqVision Hybrid Systems to NCDOC.
