We’re pleased to announce support within exacqVision VMS software (version 3.3) for StarDot Technologies’ NetCam SC line of megapixel IP cameras. StarDot’s Netcam SC camera line offers hybrid outputs (analog and IP), resolutions from 1.3 mPixel to 5.0 mPixel, auto-mechanical day-night IR filter, POE, and more.
StarDot issued a press release today announcing the support. Here is an excerpt:
StarDot’s joint venture with Exacq offers customers a robust solution covering a wide variety of security applications that require high speed recording, scalability and the ultimate in video clarity. “The StarDot Video Image Engine processor in the NetCam SC Cameras is an excellent complement to the exacqVision platform,” said Vance Kozik, StarDot’s product manager, “The combination provides an ideal solution for license plate capture, face detail capture or replacing multiple CCTV cameras with a single wide angle megapixel camera.”

exacqVision and Pivot3′s Serverless Computing
Our friends at Pivot3 were at the Government Video Technology Expo last week in Washington DC, showcasing their new Serverless Computing technology. Built on their High-Definition Storage SAN product, the Pivot3 NVR storage technology combines an NVR & SAN into a single unit. This combination provides significant cost, power, and cooling advantages as a result of the consolidation of NVR servers into the High-Definition Storage platform.
To demonstrate the power of their clustered iSCSI NVR/SAN product, Pivot3 presented their storage solution with the exacqVision VMS IP video surveillance software platform. Using exacqVision VMS on their clustered storage servers provides an avenue for a virtually unlimited amount of cameras and storage.
Pivot3′s Serverless Computing platform was further recognized at the show by being awarded the Government Video Salute from the editorial team of Government Video magazine. This annual award recognizes the most innovative new products unveiled each year at the annual Government Video Expo. This year’s winning products will be highlighted in the January 2009 issue of Government Video magazine.
Our congratulations to Pivot3 for their successful show and for the Government Salute award. More information on Pivot3 is here. Pivot3′s press release for the show is here.
